FAQ's

What do you use to fragrance to your candles?

We use essential oils to fragrance our candles; Essential oils are steam-distilled pure plant extracts used for scenting, flavouring, or healing applications in aromatherapy. As opposed to fragrance oils which are synthetically made chemical scent compounds.

My candle has a few imperfections and white frosting on it, why is this?

We use 100% natural soy wax for our scented candles, it is common that you may experience frosting or small imperfections on your candles. Frosting occurs naturally on all types of vegetable wax and is a sign that the wax is 100% natural. It presents itself as small white, crystallised layers on the surface of the candle. This is common when utilising a natural wax, to minimise the appearance of frosting, gently use a warm cloth or your finger to rub the area to smooth the frosting.

How long will my candle last?

The burn time varies for each type of candle, please refer to the product description for the candle type in question which will provide an estimated burn time.

What type of Wax do you use?

On our scented candles we use 100% vegan, natural wax derived from the vegetable soybeans. It’s biodegradable, if there are any accidents it can be cleaned with plain old soap and water.

Soy wax has a low melting point, because of this, soy candles will burn slower and longer in comparison to alternative wax types. As it’s natural no toxins or pollutants are produced when burning.

It has excellent fragrance retention, producing a well-balanced, true to scent candle.

For our decorative candles we use soy wax blended with paraffin; this provides a cleaner, decorative finish.

Producing less imperfections as it has greater solidity when cool. It Absorbs dye well for greater clarity and even colour too.
